[NEWS] 第60回エミー賞の候補が発表されました(再掲)。
賞は2種類あって、
60th Creative Arts Emmy Awards
60th Primetime Emmy Awards
前者はいわゆる裏方さんのための賞、後者は俳優やドラマに送られる賞です。授賞式はNOKIA Theatreで2週にわたって行われます。Creative-は9月13日、Primetime-は9月21日。

中々のものが揃いました。私は"Lost"を推したいな。予定より短くなってしまったけど、シリーズ最高傑作だったと思う。でも実際は"Mad Men"かな。昨年はThe Sopranosが受賞。候補の中ではLostのみが受賞歴あり(2005年)。
Outstanding Comedy Series
"30 Rock" (NBC)
"Curb Your Enthusiasm" (HBO)
"Entourage" (HBO)
"The Office" (NBC)
"Two and a Half Men" (CBS)
なんと"Curb-"以外は全部去年と同じ顔ぶれ。昨年は"30 Rock"が受賞した。"The Office"は2006年度に受賞しているので、今年は"Two and-"になると予想。全く見てないのでDVDでも借りて見てみようかな。

これも見てない。去年はHBOの"Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee"だった。

"Top Chef" (Bravo)
この賞が出来てから"The Amazing Race"が5連覇。そして"American Idol"が5連敗。そして今年は去年と全く同じ候補リストになった。今年も"The Amazing-"だったら候補も同じで受賞も同じになるわけで、この賞を設ける意味があるのかよく分からなくなりそうな気がする。"Dancing-"じゃないかなー。

去年は"Extras"のRicky Gervaisだった。Shalhoubは3回の受賞歴がある。意外だったのがLee Paceが入っていたこと。思っている以上にこのドラマの評価が高いみたいで、人気自体もすごくある。未だに何がそんなにウケたのかよく分からない。3年連続ノミニーとなったCarrelとSheenを差し置いてBaldwinが取る予感。個人的には"Monk"だけど。あのしゃべり方が好きでたまらない。

その後、"In Treatment"を視聴。Dianne Wiestの演技は圧倒的だが、番組の性質上、全体に対する出演話数の割合が少ない(5話に1回)。それで助演女優と言っていいのかはよく分からない。

Jean SmartはApplegate演じるSamanthaの母親を演じているんだけど、確かに良い味を出している。"24"の時と違う、全く別の雰囲気。でも役自体がさほどでもないので、受賞は無理そうだ。

でもHarrisに獲って欲しい。話の展開からしてそろそろ終わってしまいそうなので、チャンスがあるうちに獲れないかな。HBOには勝てませんか。
