Kristin: So, hi you.
Wentworth: Hi, you.
Kristin: There's a ferris wheel tonight. You're gonna be riding that?
Wentworth: I don't think so. I don't think they're gonna give us time to ride the ferris wheel.
Kristin: Why? Go back to shoot?
Wentworth: I may have just enough time for cotton candy, but I've got a 6:00 am call.
Kristin: Thet do like to work you guys pretty hard?
Wentworth: They do, they do. But we're back in LA, and that kinda makes it all beter.
Kristin: Yeah, I guess. So, how was the show changed **** you guys were back in L.A.?
Wentworth: You know what, it's completely revolutionized, you know. The boys, the brothers, are no longer on the run. They've decided to stand and fight to take on the Company, to take on the conspiracy that destoryed everyone's lives in the first place. And in that sense, it's completely different, they¡Çre being proactive as opposed to reactive. But at the same time, it's still the chills, the thrills, the spills, the old romances that we all love and have invested in. So if you've loved us all along, you'll continue to love us. If you've hated us all along, you'll continue to hate us. It's more of the same.
Kristin: Are you happy with how the Michael and Sara storyline has been going?
Wentworth: Yeah, I am. I am. I like that the fact that it's complicated, that there's still barriars to these two. They do get together, There's everything you kind of hoped would happen in that reunion. But at the same time, Michael's changed a lot. While he thought Sara was dead, he crossed a couple of lines, he's got blood on his hands, and the question is, you know, "Does he deserve her? Is he the man she once knew and fell in love with?"
Kristin: I'd say Sara Wayne Callies does look much more pretty with her head attached.
Wentworth: She does.
Kristin: She was far too pretty to be headed.
Wentworth: It suits her, doesn't it?
Kristin: Some other people not so much. But her, you wanna keep the head on, I think.
Wentworth: I think so too.
Kristin: Was it nice to have her back on set to be working with her again?
Wentworth: Yeah. I very much missed Sarah. She added a certain something to the show - class, intelligence, a little bit of estrogen. And I think she was sorely missed. And I think by the fans reacting the way they did, and a certain people who made certain decisions, decide to make it right. and I think it's important to note that throughout the whole situation. Sara was a model of grace and integrity, and acted out of, you know, her concern for the fans, the story, and the character that she created. We're really happy and honored that she was going to come back.
Kristin: We're happy too, and the fans are happy. Last question. I heard you guys have been having some paparazzi. Now that you're shooting in L.A. and I thought I overheard you telling a story about you had handcuffs and a pillow and the paparazi got it. What's that all about?
Wentworth: Yeah, there was a fan waiting for me at this local coffee shop that I go to on occasion. She must've known that's kinda like where I hang out. And she had few gifts in her car. She'd been waiting for this moment kinda carefully preparing. And there's a pillow because she heard I like naps. And there was skelton keys on a keychain, you know, for Michael to help him get out of a jam, and there was also a set of handcuffs. And she said, "I'll leave this to your imagination."
Kristin: No!
Wentworth: It was really sweet actually, you know. There's someone kinda went to that much time and effort, and you know, put that much thought into your gift. Of course, I'm carrying like this pillow, and skelton keys, and like handcuffs down the street. And as soon as I turn around, of course, there's the photographers. Those pictures are out there. It's amusing. It's the nature of the beast.
Kristin: What was Wentworth doing? Were you a little scared? A little of a little? A little frightened?
Wentworth: No, the fans don't scare me. They are why we do what we do. So, I'm just grateful.

Kristin: So missy, tell me how does it feel to be back on the show?
SWC: It's really strange.
Kristin: What was it like the first day, when you got back to set, back to production?
SWC: The first day, thankfully, I had one word to say all day and it was "Uh-huh".
Kristin: So they're breaking you in gently.
SWC: Literally, to Wentworth. And he had his arm around me for most of the day, and we were just sort of sitting there, and then they wrapped, and it was really sweet, the people sort of applauded when I came back, I said,"Hi. I missed everyone." And they said, "Okay, you're wrapped." And I turned to Went and I was like, "I can't feel my legs." This is the last place I ever thought I'd be again. It was very strange and kinda amazing and wonderful. And it was a weird resurrection process. I mean, I'd put Sara to bed and mourned for her and grieved her, and then to sort of bring her back. What I found was that she was a different character than the one I'd left, that what had happened over the course of the 3rd season, what she had been through, everything. You'll find out in the 1st episode, it kinda makes the whole Kellerman-bathtub thing look like a picnic. And so she's coming back broken. And Michael is broken in interesting ways too. And so, even though there aren't barriers between them that are bars and walls, they're both wrestling with so much internally, that there's still a lot they have to overcome with one another.
Kristin: And you pointed out today, we were talking earlier today, and you said they've actually only known each other for 6 months, which I think people forget, because the fans feel like they've been waiting forever for them to be together.
SWC: Right. It's 4 years for the fans, but for them, I mean it's very much. We don't have too many of those yet, but were trying to build in moments of sort of these big deep emotional conversations. And then, "Oh, you don't like blue? Oh, I'll stop wearing blue. Ok, I didn't know that." You know? "Oh, you went to catholic school? How strange." I mean, there's so much they don't know about each other, and yet there's this very forced intimacy. And yet they're living in a warehouse with a bunch of cons, so it's not like there's a whole bunch of time to sit down and have a cup of coffee.
Kristin: Not exactly the honeymoon suite.
SWC: Exactly, exactly. there's a long way to go.
Kristin: Question though, that the fans will want to know; "How hot and steamy does it get between Michael and Sara?"
SWC: We're on a network at 9:00 at night, so I mean, like, they didn't have to put fuzzy marks over anything.
Kristin: Can we move the show to cable for just one night?
SWC: I...
Kristin: I'm just kidding..
SWC: Were not on HBO, not yet, but I do, I mean look, these people have waited a long time to hang out and they're not waiting to hang out. I mean, they want to hang out - I'm just saying.
Kristin: And kids, we are just talking about hanging out, like holding hands, going for a walk on the beach.
SWC: Playing "Guitar Hero". Totally.
Kristin: Totally.
SWC: Mellow.
Kristin: I can't wait to see them play "Guitar Hero".
SWC: Actually that would be a really funny scene. Just kind of kicking back, being like "dum dum dum dum..."
Kristin: Just last question. I know the fans fought for you to come back. What does that mean to you?
SWC: Oh. More than I can put into words, especially without ruining my makeup. I didn't know people cared that much, and I mean, you try really hard to create a character that people are gonna respond to, that's gonna resonate with people. And just the letters that I've gotten and the origami swans. It's weird, from countries that I didn't even know we were on the air in. I mean it's really really beautiful and I was so touched. And for it to be sufficient for them to actually change their minds. I mean, thanks! Thank you very much! It was really really kind.
